StreetTheatre El Capstok
Streettheatre El Capstok. We started making walkacts since 1999.
First as a street musician Ben Jur (busker, one-man-band)
Later, El Capstok created more mobile, walk acts for festivals, fairs.
The thin line between fact, reality and fantasy is our speciality.
There is always something nostalgic in our shows.
Arts and crafts and nature.
We’d like to pass on old craftsmanship and stories.
The creature of Saeftinghe.
Long ago, in the flooded parts of Holland….
Reed cutter Roderick van Kuytaert is shocked, when during his work, he finds a creature living in the undergrowth. Sometimes the creature is swimming like a fish, and it can also fly like an insect.
As he tells his friends in the pub about his find, they declare him mad.
Roderick decides to capture the monster to show off.
After six weeks he succeeds. Now he is travelling around, showing the audience the monster in a cage. Roderick even learned the beast some tricks.
So watch out, behold and surprise yourself.
The flying Dutchman.
This streettheatre act is about wizzard Runewold. Captain on “the Dutchman”.
Runewold enchanted his forfather’s ship and its ghosts.
Now he is not only sailing the seven seas,
Runewold is sailing everywhere he can, interacting with the audience, telling stories of his miraculous travels. A littje crazy, beçause of all the spirits on board.
Two blue chest birds. Nothing special, though you don’t see them often.
They whistle, they chase and flutter. Whistle their stories and interact with the audience.
Father and son? Mother and daughter? No idea, the only thing I know, they are very nosy! Curious about everything!
They love a cuddle and children love ‘m.
